Compensation Commissioner 2012 W.As8 form deadline – 30 April 2013

The 2012 W.As 8 Return of Earnings for Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) is scheduled for submission by 30 April 2013.

This return must reflect the amount of earnings paid to staff, directors and also include any free food or quarters provided to staff during this year.  The average number of employees must also be stated.

Late rendition may result in a penalty being levied upon assessment of this return.  Please contact the Department of Labour on 086 010 5350 for a copy of the W.As8 return, should you not have received this via normal mail by mid March 2013, but online registrations are preferred – Registration can be done at https://roe.labour.gov.za/DolRegistrationWeb/landing.html

We would be happy to assist you if you have any questions about this return.

Our payroll systems provide accurate monthly payslips and reports required for the monthly/annual statutory returns (EMP201 and WCA), along with electronic IRP5s at the end of the tax year for your employees – no manual calculations required!

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Juanita Roman on 021 683 4834 at our offices.

    • Tax Dept says:

The department has enabled the functionality to submit the Return Of Earnings (ROE) online at http://www.labour.gov.za

Select > “Compensation Fund Return of Earnings Submissions” (https://roe.labour.gov.za/DolRegistrationWeb/landing.html) and then follow the on-screen tips to register.

Once registered you will receive the login and password via email. Upon logging in you will have to request access per reference number. The number to use is on the ROE email and is labelled reference number (generally appears to start with “9…..”)

If you have not received your ROE via mail, you can contact the Compensation Fund on one of the following numbers for the correct contact number to use: 012 319 9145 / 9452 / 9231 / 9261 / 9445.

We would welcome the opportunity to assist you with any further queries you may have.

We are able to provide you with a professional and personalised service to meet all your tax and other financial requirements.

Please do not hesitate to contact myself, Juanita Roman, at our offices on 021 683 4834.

Hello your help would be greatly appreciated as I have also sent Workmens Comp emails but they haven’t even read my emails. I submitted our return on-line and now I can’t get a copy of it on-line, but the invoice has arrived via email and I am required to pay in 30Days. There is however a PDF form on the net stating I can take off 10% off for payment within 30 Days but it doesn’t reflect on the Invoice. My last question is, I have only just received the Invoice for 2011/2012 – ( I submitted this manual last year) and paid it on the 08.03.12 and now I have to paid again by the 16th of May for the next one 2012/2013. I thought it would only be issued next year like all the others.

    Hi Juanita
I’ve been trying to submit my RoE for a while now but keep getting a message “Unknown fault: Server Error” error message after hitting the submit button.
Do you have any idea how to get around this as I cannot get hold of anyone at the Dept of Labour either on the 0860 105 3500 number or any of their email addresses.
I would appreciate your help on this
