Recent Tax changes – Power of Attorney Forms now required

SARS has recently amended their systems to introduce a new single registration facility which will ensure better tax compliance, streamline registrations for other taxes (VAT and PAYE) and minimise cyber fraud.

In order to comply with their new policies, Dave or Alexis (as your tax practitioners) would need to provide SARS with proof of your permission to act on your behalf relating to your various SARS tax affairs, whether for Income Tax, VAT, PAYE/SDL/UIF only or a combination of the various taxes.

We therefore include a link at the bottom of this article to a general Power of Attorney form for your convenience – this form would need to be completed for each individual taxpayer, Trust and Entity (CC or Company) with their respective tax numbers.

Alternatively, you can contact us for a completed document to be signed if you prefer not to sign the form included in the link.

Should you require confirmation of any SARS numbers or details on the respective tax practitioner to include on the form, please contact Alinza Small or Juanita Roman at our offices.

As we would require the original documents, kindly deliver or post these documents to us upon signature.

Your assistance in ensuring 100% compliance by maintaining your SARS affairs is greatly appreciated.
