SARS Statements of Accounts

As of 2 April 2013 taxpayers are required to request Statements of Accounts (SOA) from SARS.

Monthly SOA will no longer automatically be issued to taxpayers, in an effort to create a paperless environment and to reduce our carbon footprint.

Where a SOA is required, this may be requested through one of the following channels:

  Electronically via eFiling.

  Electronically via e@syFile™ Employer (Payroll taxes only).

  By calling the SARS Contact Centre on 0800 00 SARS (7277).

  By visiting your nearest SARS Branch.

Should you have any queries, please contact Juanita Roman at our offices.

    need a statement

    • Tax Dept says:

      Dear Sir

We advise that there are two ways of requesting statement of accounts from SARS:

Option 1 – You call the SARS call centre on 0800 00 72 77 and speak to a consultant – verify the information they will require from you:

      – Full Name and surname
      – Address
      – ID No
      – Tax number

You will then be asked for which tax type you are calling and which period you require the statement of accounts. You will need to provide the email address for it to be emailed to you.

Option 2 – When using SARS efiling system for a statement of accounts, the steps are as follows :

      – You login into your SARS efiling profile with your login and password
      – Select the option “Returns” on the top
      – Select the option on the right “SARS Correspondence”
      – Select “Request Historic IT Notice” for Income tax
      – Select “I want to request statement of account”
      – You can then choose the period for your statement and select the “Request” option at the bottom of the page
      – Follow the next screen prompts until you are able to view the requested statement of account.

Please contact our offices should you still have further queries in this regard.

Perhaps ensure you have the latest version of Adobe reader – try using an alternative platform, Internet Explorer rather than Google Chrome.
