Community Chest Twilight Run

We entered a team into the Community Chest Twilight Run “The MD Wannabe’s”. The annual race is one of the many fundraisers hosted by the Community Chest Team whose aim is the alleviation of poverty, by adding human value and human resource to make a positive impact on the community.

Rosh Hashanah and Eid

We again supported The Oranjia Jewish Child and Youth Care Centre and Gift of the Givers Foundation on behalf of our clients for Rosh Hashanah and Eid.

National Casual Day

We recently supported National Casual Day, on 5 September 2008, by buying stickers from Fountain House. Casual Day is a fundraising and awareness creating project benefiting persons with disabilities. Fountain House is a professional self-help program, operated by men and women recovering from mental illness, in collaboration with a highly professional and caring staff.

SAICA

We supported SAICA with their initiative of helping unemployed and disadvantaged people. SAICA help these by people by taking them off the streets and offering them jobs, in which they can improve their skills and knowledge. MD bought flash drive decorations, made in traditional South African style for the 37th Kreston International World Conference.

Jason Coetzee Benefit

We again attended the Jason Coetzee Benefit held in July 2008, as well as making a donation to this very worthy cause. The aim of this benefit is to raise funds for Jason’s ongoing Chemotherapy treatment. So although the evening is held on a serious note, much fun was had by all who attended.

Rotary Club of Wynberg

MD supported the Last Night of The Proms, which was hosted by the Rotary Club of Wynberg. Rotary organises various charitable projects, including setting up computer labs, libraries and sports fields in disadvantaged areas.
